1.Composition:
The topic of the composition is "If I can...."
Each student is asked to write at least two pages (in double space)
including 3~4 paragrahs to talk about his/her dream.Students
will present her/his paper in the class for 3~5 minutes.
Due day:March 10th.(writing & Oral)
2.Tape:In the this project,each student is required to find an article,
read it out loud and record it in the tape at least 5 minutes.
Please be sure you check the pronunciation of each word that you
are not familiar with.Paper work:Students will hand in a tape and
the article that you read.
Due day:March 31st.(oral)
3.A reflection of an article:In this project,each student may
choose any kind of articles in which you are interested in any
kind of English magazines that you can find in the library
or bookstores such as Times,CNN....etc.
Students need to read it carefully and write down your reflection
of this article at least two pages in double space.Paper
work:It needs to have a cover page and the article included.
Due day:May 6th.(writing)
4.Research Paper:Each student is required to find a country
in the world.Students need to do the research and collect
some goverment style.Students may use internet or library
to finish it.
Students will present it in the class.(writing & Oral)
5.Play Contest:This activity is a program-wide play appreciation.
The class divides into groups of 4-6 students.The play must
be 7-10 minutes in length and no longer than 10 minutes.
Students should not use written notes while they aer performing.
Plays are created by the students,not adapted from famous stories.
Language (with natural and appropriate gestures and actions)used in the
plays is more important than slapstick,costumes,music,sets,or props.
Play contents are based on themes,topics,problems,and issues of interest
in the world today,especially in Taiwan and especially for students.Plays
should be interesting and entertaining to other students.
All assignments are due on the days announced.Please following the
guidelines for each assignment which list above.Students will get a 50%
score for each late assignment. Students will get "0" point if an assignment
is received more than one week late.
